DID YOU KNOW?
Biotin can be made by bacteria which live in the hindgut of the horse. However, illness, pain, or dietary restriction may all reduce the amount produced. Hoof grows very slowly, so issues with hoof quality may not be seen for 3-6 months after a problem.
WHAT'S IN THE BAG?
Biotin: has been scientifically proven to improve the strength, growth rate and quality of hoof when given at high doses. Biotin is an essential component of hoof, skin and hair. It is also known as Vitamin H or Vitamin B7.
MSM (methyl sulphonyl methane) An excellent source of sulphur and great for making strong hoof and hair.
Limestone is a natural source of calcium. The scientific name for Limestone is calcium carbonate. Essential for strong and healthy bones, teeth and feet.
Carrot (Daucus carota subsp. sativus) Provides natural flavour and texture. Very low in sugar and starch and high in beta-carotene (which is converted to Vitamin A), Vitamin K1 and antioxidants.
Rose Hips are included here as an excellent natural source of Vitamins A, C and manganese.
Spearmint is a herb that can help sooth the digestive tract and encourage appetite.
Copper chelate, Zinc chelate and Manganese chelate **
**Chelated minerals are linked to amino acids and are easier for the horse to absorb. They are also kinder and less irritant to the digestive tract than inorganic or “salt” versions of the minerals.
